Ngày thứ bảy 14 tháng năm nam 2011 sắp đến sẽ có một buổi diễn hành cho ngày Quân Lực Hoa Kỳ do Bộ Quốc Phòng tài trợ và thành phố Torrance, CA đứng ra tổ chức, đây là lần thứ 52.

Sau 9 năm nôp đơn và năm nay là năm thứ 4 Toán Cựu Quân Nhân QLVNCH Diễn hành dưói Quốc Kỳ VNCH.

Nhân 36 năm sau cuộc chiến Việt Nam chúng tôi cũng sẽ có triễn lãm vũ khí, Quân trang và Quân Dụng QLVNCH trong 3 ngày 13,14 và 15 tháng 5 nam 2011
Torrance Armed Forces Day Parade là diễn hành lớn nhất của Quân lực Hoa Kỳ tại miển tây Hoa Ky chi phi lên đến hàng trăm ngàn dollars cho 3 ngày.

Ngày thứ Sáu 13 tháng 5 sẽ có Ban Quân Nhạc trình diễn tại Armstrong Theater, ngày Thu Bay 14 tháng 5 Diễn hành và trong 3 ngày 13, 14 và 15 tháng 5 đều có triễn lãm của Quân Lực Hoa Kỳ.

Vì đây là vinh dự chung cho QLVNCH mong được có đại diện của các Quân Binh chủng QLVNCH như Không quân, Hải Quân và Lục Quân nhất là Cựu Quân Nhân QLVNCH trong toán Quốc Kỳ VNCH là một điều rất cần thiết, riêng về các em hậu duệ thì trang bi dã chiến đi hai bên toán diễn hành.

Torrance is one of few cities nationwide sanctioned by the Department of Defense to honor our Armed Forces through an annual Armed Forces Day Parade & Celebration.

Torrance's Armed Forces Day Parade has the distinction of being the nation's longest running military parade sponsored by any city.

Last year's celebration brought approximately 60,000 people to crowd the Parade route, and staff is expecting a similar turnout this year.

The year 2011 marks the 52nd year that the City of Torrance has hosted an Armed Forces Day Celebration to honor the nation's military. Torrance's celebration lasts from Friday, May 13, 2011 through Sunay, May 15, 2011.

On Saturday, May 14, 2011, the parade begins at 1:30 p.m. at Crenshaw Boulevard and travels one-mile west on Torrance Boulevard to Madrona Avenue. It ends approximately at 3:30 p.m.

Each year, the City of Torrance identifies one branch of the military - the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard - as the "honored service" of the Armed Forces Day Celebration. A high-ranking member of the honored service is invited to serve as Grand Marshal.

Besides the Parade highlight, the community can enjoy other festivities during the 52nd Annual City of Torrance Armed Forces Day Parade & Celebration, including military exhibits and a free concert by a band from the honored branch.

Military exhibits on display, including aircrafts, vehicles, support equipment may be viewed at the north end of the Del Amo Fashion Center at the lower parking lot west side of the parking structure on Friday, May 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Sunday, May 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The United States Army Band will perform for free on May 14 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the James Armstrong Theatre, 3330 Civic Center Drive.

The Torrance legacy of the Armed Forces Day celebration began under the leadership of Mayor Isen in 1960 and has grown throughout the years to be considered a Southern California tradition. According to Mayor Isen, the parade was to "increase public respect and understanding for military service and promote civic-military relationships."

" The Color Guard of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Veterans Association represents all Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces participating in the Vietnam War.
More than 350,000 Republic of Vietnam soldiers sacrificed their lives together with 58,256 U.S. soldiers and over 6000 soldiers of allied forces in the Vietnam War and thousands soldiers missing in action are still unaccounted for.
The Color Guard represents and honors all the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom .
The Group have participated in many of the parades and community services to help their Veterans"
